2008 Organizing Victories Quincy Security Force Employees First Teamsters contract ratified unanimously on 6/18/2008 - Local 122 brought Quincy Public Schools Security Force into the Union in March of this year.
- Duration – The contract will be up for renewal on 7/1/2009 and this means that the Security Officers will be bargaining at the same time as the other Quincy Teamsters bargaining units.
- Overtime – new language to protect overtime work for officers
- Clothing allowance – Each officer will receive a clothing allowance for the first time of $75 a year.
- Holidays – For the first time, officers will receive paid holidays – Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
- Job Description was revised to make it clear and concise
- Bereavement – grandchild will be added to the current list of relatives
- Numerous other agreements to protect officers rights on and off the job
Braintree School Bus Drivers Association Overwhelmingly voted to join Local 122 on 6/12/2008 - Local 122 will assume collective bargaining responsibility immediately and start preparing for negotiations for a successor agreement to the one in place.
